Djibouti. Djibouti and Bahrain and Eritrea, among others, are at the bottom when it comes to freedom of the press. Reporters Without Borders’ annual press freedom index describes the situation in the country as very serious.

In September, the telecommunications giant Ericsson announced that it would set aside SEK 12 billion for upcoming fines in a bribery investigation involving violations of US corruption laws in six countries, including Ericsson’s dealings in Djibouti.
